When I started on my first necklace, I randomly selected a few nuggets, wondering which one to use first. Examining them closely, I wondered what people would find appealing about these seemingly unattractive rocks. Then it occured to me that my Heavenly Father treats us the same way too. Despite my flaws, He is able to see the beauty and potential in me, that is not yet visible.
So I did my selection prayerfully, asking the Holy Spirit to show me the beauty of each rock. That was when I noticed the gemstones' interesting shapes and textures. One had different coloured layers, like kueh kueh; another sparkled at places even though it was unpolished; yet another had a sweet hue despite its pale colouring. Finally, I decided on a purple and clear, translucent Fluorite.

And as I selected the Morganite beads, the Holy Spirit placed in me the idea of selecting some with complementary colours, some with contrasting colours. The aim was to draw out the natural colour of the raw nugget. Much like how God gives us encouraging experiences and difficult experiences, with the aim of bringing out the best in us and making us more like Jesus.
So that is the reason I've named this collection Elizabeth, which means “God's promise”, “God is bountiful” or “God's perfection”.
